Here's to you CLOTH DIAPERS!

Well my good friend Megan has got me hooked. Im addicted. Im in love with cloth diapers. At first I really liked the idea, but then I started thinking about how it would be to actually have to spray poop out of my son's diapers and decided that cloth diapering probably wasn't for us. I was wrong. A few months later I gave it a try and really like it, even after the horrible fail last night of Caleb waking completely soaked practically head to toe in pee. He was pretty unhappy to say the least, but I have a feeling that tonight will be much better because I am packing that thing with liners. I am sure we will have a few more CD fails, but I am more than willing to deal because 1.) How much money we will save eventually (there is a bit of an investment in the beginning) 2.) I can use these for all my kids and 3.) Caleb's chubby little legs couldn't look cuter sticking out of the colorful diapers.

6 month update

Caleb had his 6 month checkup today and 13 hours later, the verdict is in. He's a chunker! He weighs 19 lbs 10 oz (75th-90th percentile) and he is 27 and 5/8 inches long (90th percentile). He had to get 3 shots also, and he was very unhappy about it. He didnt start crying until the 2nd one, but then things got pretty crazy. The pediatrician said he could now eat Cherrios and other easily dissolvable foods, as well as most any other foods that are cut up really small.

Today my baby is half a year old! I cant believe in 6 short months we will be celebrating his 1 year birthday. He is really starting to develop his personality. He is such a happy little guy and he is always smiling. He is even beginning to get the hang of napping, which makes for a very happy mom and baby. I really enjoy the time I get to spend at home with him. I am really grateful that I am able to be a stay at home mom and see my little man grow and learn new things each day. He absolutely loves loves loves his jumperoo and will spend a half hour sometimes just jumping away.

In other news, I recently started P90X.. again. I know it will not be any easier this time, but at least I am prepared for how demanding it will be. I am incredibly sore from only 2 days, but it feels good. I hope to go longer than 2 months this time and actually complete the program. I will update for those interested!

Its about time!

I have really been slacking lately on the whole blog scene, which is crazy because so much has happened in the past few weeks. We moved the majority of everything into our new house on Saturday. With the help of some good friends it didn't take too long. We are finally getting settled in and unpacked for the most part. I was really apprehensive as well as excited to move because I wasn't sure if this new place was going to feel like home. Richard assured me it would, and it is really starting to. I will miss the little house that I brought my first child home to, but we are all looking forward to starting our lives here.

In other news, Caleb is doing great. He is a pro at sitting now and has only fallen over a few times this week. He is eating tons of new foods. A few weeks ago me and my friend Megan made baby food and it was surprisingly easy.

In a short 9 days, my baby is going to be 6 months! We have his 6 month pictures tomorrow and I'm really excited. I will post them soon, because who are we kidding, we will be buying at least one. They get you with the free session and then you see how cute your kid is and feel compelled to buy them.

She's French!

I bought Caleb this toy giraffe named Sophie. I got it off Amazon and apparently babies just love it. And he does! It is perfect for him to hold onto and use it while he is teething. Abbey was onto the toy before I even got it out of the package, and once she heard it squeak she hasnt left Caleb's side. She is just waiting for him to drop it. I am extremely excited over a rubber giraffe.... cant wait for Spring to get out of the house!
